White Pine Circle is happy to be a hub of Saam education for the English-speaking world.
Saam is a Korean tradition of acupuncture created 400 years ago by wandering monks. In the Saam system, the 12 primary channels each carry elemental qualities and movements in a way that synthesizes their yin/yang, 5 phase, and 6 conformation qualities. Balance between the channel pairs creates health. Imbalance between the channel pairs creates pathology.
Saam’s observation-based diagnosis turns practitioners into keen evaluators of human appearance, psychology and behaviors. 4 point treatments strongly supplement the deficient directional or elemental qualities to reestablish balance between the channel pairs.
Deep appreciation of the dynamic of human experiences combined with potent therapy makes for a powerful medicine.
