This three-session course will go deeply into three kinds of somatic and imaginal practice using a frame of postmetaphysical (nothing to believe) nonduality (the experience of basic wellbeing beyond opposites).
We will more intensively explore three types of exercises that were touched upon during Layman's earlier course concerning the somatic overlap between spirituality and healing -- but the previous classes are not a prerequisite.
January 10th - SELF-SENSING exercises to establish relaxation, enhanced self-regulation & spontaneous activation of other modes of somatic participation (i.e. "energy body.")
January 17th - ACTIVE IMAGINATION for self-diagnosis, mind-strengthening, accessing altered states of consciousness & drawing upon subconscious sources of information.
January 24th - GENDLIN'S "FOCUSING" & related exercises that involve lateral or nonlinear sources of embodied intelligence.

Layman Pascal is a Canadian author, philosopher and meditation teacher. He leads the Metamodern Spirituality Retreats, hosts the Integral Stage podcast and provides various online courses. He is a founding member of the Archdisciniplary Research Center, the Endemic wisdom council and he operates as co-chair of the Foundation for Integral Spirituality and Religion. Recently he was one of nine teachers to participate in the 2022 RSPND project at Maple Monastery to generate a new wisdom-curriculum and was the editor of the Metamodernist Anthology “Dispatches from a Time Between Worlds” for Perspectiva Press.
His areas of interest include planetary shamanism, nonduality, developmental stage theories, neurological correlates of meditation, embodied spirituality and new formulations of the religious instinct to suit a post-postmodern civilization facing numerous accelerating and converging crises.
