In this class, Sharon Weizenbaum will lay the foundation for the White PIne Circle year-long single herb series. She will introduce the texts we will be consulting and referencing and how to utilize these sometimes cryptic information. She will also discuss what basic herb properties and flavors mean in relation to their actions in the body, including what the herb looks like, what part of the plant it is, how it is grown and when it is harvested. She will give examples of how the action of an herb changes depending on dosage and on what it is combined with. Attending this class will help set the foundation for all of the following classes.

Just want to say thank you to Sharon for this in depth 1st presentation on qi and flavors of herbs. I'm revisiting it again. The single herb series is wonderful. Thank you to all the teachers for their generosity and offerings of knowing. I think one of the feelings that arises hearing these teachings garnered from much study and practice is how much appreciation for life there is including the intelligence, beauty, and wonder of it all!
