As practitioners, we all are wanting to help our patients and create a safe place for healing. Unfortunately, healthcare settings have traditionally been very triggering spaces for those in recovery or with histories of eating disorders. By increasing our knowledge and understanding of different eating disorders, and challenging our own weight biases, we are able to provide safer opportunities for healing for our patients, and therefore reduce unintended harm with this population.

In this class, we’ll go over eating disorder diagnosis, current industry treatment standards, things we can do as Eastern medicine practitioners, and things we should definitely not do. You’ll leave with practical information you can immediately implement into your treatments, and next steps for continued resources.

This class is part of the 3 part series "Treating with Mindful Inclusion."  Join the conversation by registering (for free) for the series.
